Cadillacs, vliegtuigen, de KGB, drank en heel veel pillen. Alle amateurrecensenten op de IMDB's waren het met elkaar eens: aan deze Netflixminiserie heerste nogal het een of het ander.
Nog zo'n juweeltje:
"1/10 - Why all the fuss? - ElNeilo15 November 2020 - Warning: Spoilers - Well, it cost 0 so I naughtily downloaded it. Episode 1: Some weird orphanage makes all its charges addicted to tranquilizers as I'm sure was common practice back in the day. These cause our nine-year old heroine to hallucinate that she can see chess games on the ceiling of her dormitory. One minute she's playing the caretaker in the basement, the next she defeats 10 boys in a simultaneous exhibition at the local school. During a screening of The Robe at the orphanage she just must have her fix, so she robs the pharmacy of it's enormous jar of capsules, stuffing handfuls down her throat first for some reason. She then drops the jar and falls unconscious to the floor as the assembled orphanage look on in horror. And she didn't play the Queen's Gambit once! Typical Netflix drone fodder."
En dat was dan de conclusie na een aflevering van de zeven.

Echter, als je sorteert op datum, dan komt de onderste steen boven:
"7/10 - Not based on a true story - dybae15 November 2020 - Really well done but when I found out it wasn't a true story I didn't understand the point of it. Kinda ruined it in my opinion"
Waarschijnlijk een review van iemand die stemgerechtigd is.
